Maintenance of your new home:
While your new pet house is painted and weather sealed, some upkeep is necessary to insure long-term use. Just like your own home, your pet house will need to be repainted at some time. We use Latex Floor and Porch by Valspar, and if you use this same brand you need never worry about incompatibility between latex and oil--and you will also be able to match the color. The wood trim is coated with Messmer's UV Plus.
Removing the roof allows you to vacuum and clean the inside of the house.
The fleece blanket is machine washable.
Do not re-coat with any product using linseed oil.
To clean windows: Use micro fiber cloths and water ONLY. Be sure never to wipe Plexiglas with coarse rags.
